                                                                                   Senior Focus

We recognize that the senior citizens in our neighborhoods have talents, wisdom and vision that can and should be passed on to future generations. We also recognize that they have safety and security issues. This committee's goals are as follows:

   1.  To encourage and support our older community members by
         offering to stand with them and for them when necessary as
         they face issues that affect their safety.

   2.  To develop intergenerational connections especially with the
         youth of our community.

So far, this committee has helped a local residential unit that houses mostly elderly to gain increase security in the building by having a sign-in for all visitors and by installing alarm systems on all doors.

The Oil City Police Department are doing walk throughs on all three shifts at different times during the day and night to increase the security and to make sure all exit doors are secured.
